We are currently looking for a manager for our servicing team in Irving, Texas, to manage the Title Management Team. You will partner with the Sr. Manager of Remarketing and Title Management to lead the teams and strategies to maximize operational efficiencies, execute and follow-up for dealer escalations, and maintain oversight into title-related processes (e.g. title releases, lien perfections, title transfers, correspondence, etc.). You will also be responsible for mentoring, coaching, and training the title team on title policies, procedures, and best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct a team of 8-12 Title Specialists to ensure operational efficiency.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex title-related issues.
- Manage title management vendor relationships.
- Develop and monitor effectiveness reporting of the Title team and processes to ensure department objectives are met. Help team members build confidence, consistency, and strong production results.
- Execute, follow-up, and report out escalations to support our dealer partners, mitigate risk of loss, and facilitate buybacks (including follow-up for issues not related to outstanding liens)
- Monitor team and individual performance, foster a culture of accountability and a focus on service excellence.
- Assist internal stakeholders in the development and rollout of strategic business objectives
- Provide innovative and workable alternative solutions to drive process efficiencies related to title management, including process documentation.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating department procedures.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify training opportunities to enhance and ensure high levels of service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of auto finance experience, including extensive Titles Department management experience in a managerial role.
- Extensive understanding in all title process responsibilities including, but not limited to outstanding title follow-up, substitution of collateral processing, releasing titles, requests for letters of guarantee, UCC filing and renewals.
- Knowledge of DMV related fees and forms to ensure resolution of title escalations.
- Must be proficient in managing the title vault (Vitu/Dealertrack).
- Well versed in MS Office and WEB based tools.
- Highly organized, detailed orientated with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication skills interpersonal, verbal and written with the goal of influencing outcome.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and objectively coach associates and manage complex issues to meet/exceed company objectives.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify improvement opportunities, evaluate options, and develop servicing solutions.
- High level of personal motivation, professionalism, and integrity required.
- Ability to exercise discretion and judgement in line with company initiatives and values.
