Position Summary & Key Responsibilities

Warsaw, Poland (hybrid - 3 days in office per week)

US work hours overlap would be required

The Staff GL (A2R) Accountant supports period-end close and reporting activities for U.S.-based entities while working within a European accounting team. This role provides foundational exposure to U.S. GAAP accounting, month-end close processes, and internal controls in a global corporate environment.

This role reports to a supervisor in the North America Controllership Team (United States).

Key responsibilities include:

• Assist with monthly close activities under supervision, including journal entry preparation and posting
• Support balance sheet account reconciliations and basic variance analysis
• Maintain accounting documentation in compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal control standards
• Assist with intercompany accounting and group reporting activities
• Provide supporting documentation for audit requests and internal control testing
• Help prepare standard reports and schedules for corporate accounting and management review
• Participate in process improvement and standardization initiatives
• Respond to ad-hoc accounting and operational requests from senior team members

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 0–2 years of accounting experience, internships or traineeships acceptable
• Basic understanding of U.S. GAAP principles (coursework or early professional exposure)
• Familiarity with ERP systems and Excel preferred
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn structured accounting processes
• Very good written and spoken English (knowledge of additional languages a plus)
• Strong willingness to learn and develop
