Overview:
The Division of Complex Health Care at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the Department of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine is actively seeking a qualified Pediatrician or Med-Peds physician to join our team.
The Division provides primary and specialty care to children and adults with complex medical needs. Our service is holistic, family-centered, and aims to improve health outcomes by reducing fragmentation of care. The Division includes the Complex Health Care Clinic, the Comprehensive Cerebral Palsy Program, and the Comprehensive Pediatric Feeding Program. We also have a consultative inpatient program and sponsor a complex care fellowship.
The successful candidate will join an expanding division that consists of an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, dieticians, care coordinators, nurses, medical assistants, and a pharmacist. Opportunities exist to join any of the Division’s programs, as well as other clinical teams at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Numerous opportunities to pursue leadership within the Division exist and are encouraged.
Research, quality improvement, education, and advocacy are core activities of the department. Our program is the lead site for the Cerebral Palsy Research Network. We are actively involved in improving the care for all children in Ohio through our Accountable Care Organization, Partners for Kids.
Candidates must be BC/BE in Pediatrics. Other subspecialists and graduating residents are welcome to apply. Academic rank is open and commensurate with experience. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, be able to think critically, have a strong medical background to provide outstanding medical care, and understand the importance of teamwork. Experience caring for individuals with medical complexity required. Mid-senior career preferred but all interested candidates are encouraged to apply.
