At ING we are looking for a Regulatory Reporting Data Analyst
A talented and enthusiastic Regulatory Reporting Data Analyst to join our Financial and Regulatory Reporting Team.
The responsibility of this team is handling the external financial and regulatory reporting data delivery to Bank of Spain and Head-Office.
This includes answering ad hoc data requests and maintaining the day-to-day relationship with Head Office. The team also drives continuous improvements in the reporting processes and data quality.
This is a dynamic environment as requirements and expectations of all stakeholders are continuously increasing.
You are a collaborative professional who listens and invest in your coworkers to achieve common goals. You combine strong analytical skills with a natural ability to communicate complex issues in a simple and understandable way to stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities:
As a Regulatory Reporting Data Analyst you will:
Understand the end-to-end Finance processes, data model and architecture, including the interdependencies with other domains.
Keep ongoing development and technical refinement of the data requirements. The objective is to ensure that ING always complies with the reporting requirement from the regulator.
Implement improvement actions during the data processing to optimize the flow to meet the tight deadlines.
Collaborate actively in the different projects involving the reporting area, acting as a technical consultant.
Maintaining a solid control framework to ensure the integrity of ING’s regulatory reports:
- Identify and follow-up the data quality issues on the reporting process including root cause analysis, in close collaboration with the Data Quality Office.
- Perform source data vs. general ledger and cross-report reconciliations.
- Understand and explain main developments in the reports through technical and analytical reviews.

A strong set of technical and analytical abilities:
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree with 3 to 6 years of experience (preferably in banking and/or consulting).
- Superb analytical skills, being able to analyse large amounts of data and to put outcomes in a wider perspective.
- Proven experience in data analysis, using PLSQL tools and SAS programs.
- Knowledge in the usage of Power BI / Power Query in Excel.
- High level of autonomy and initiative.
- Have a pro-active attitude and ability to operate in a demanding and changing environment.
- Problem solving mindset.
- Excellent speaking and writing skills in English is a must.

Tus principales responsabilidades:
Como Regulatory Reporting Data Analyst, tú:
Comprenderás los procesos financieros end-to-end, el modelo de datos y la arquitectura, incluidas las interdependencias con otros dominios.
Mantendrás el desarrollo continuo y el refinamiento técnico de los requisitos de datos. El objetivo es garantizar que ING cumpla siempre con los requisitos de reporting del regulador.
Implementarás acciones de mejora durante el procesamiento de datos para optimizar el flujo y cumplir con plazos ajustados.
Colaborarás activamente en los distintos proyectos que involucren al área de reporting, actuando como persona consultora técnica.
Mantendrás un sólido marco de control para garantizar la integridad de los informes regulatorios de ING:
Identificar y dar seguimiento a los problemas de calidad de datos en el proceso de reporting, incluyendo el análisis de la causa raíz, en estrecha colaboración con la Data Quality Office.
Realizar conciliaciones entre datos de origen y el libro mayor (general ledger), así como conciliaciones entre informes.
Comprender y explicar los principales desarrollos en los informes mediante revisiones técnicas y analíticas.

Un sólido conjunto de capacidades técnicas y analíticas:
Máster o grado universitario con un mínimo de 3 años de experiencia (preferiblemente en banca y/o consultoría).
Excelentes capacidades analíticas, con habilidad para analizar grandes volúmenes de datos y situar los resultados en una perspectiva más amplia.
Experiencia demostrada en análisis de datos, utilizando herramientas PLSQL y programas SAS.
Conocimientos en el uso de Power BI / Power Query en Excel.
Alto nivel de autonomía e iniciativa.
Actitud proactiva y capacidad para operar en un entorno exigente y cambiante.
Mentalidad orientada a la resolución de problemas.
Excelentes habilidades de comunicación oral y escrita en inglés (imprescindible).
