Every year millions of people are either filing their taxes in fear or giving up on their tax refund altogether. We're working on fixing that. Our intuitive app enables anyone, regardless of education or background, to file their taxes with newfound confidence.
Spread across Germany, Spain and the UK, the team at Taxfix Group with its brands Taxfix and Steuerbot, is a compassionate group of solution-finders. We speak our minds openly, and with over 400 professionals, including tax experts, developers, and IT security experts, we're rich in ideas and voices. The group has facilitated more than 3.5 billion euros in tax refunds for its customers since its founding in 2016.
As our Senior Collections Manager within the Operational Finance team, you'll sit at the heart of how Taxfix manages its financial operations — bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to the processes that keep our business running smoothly. You'll be responsible for owning our accounts receivable and collections operations end-to-end, from exception-based monitoring and partner governance to month-end close inputs and workflow automation. Reporting to our Senior Manager, Finance Platforms and Transformation and collaborating closely with Product, Customer Success, Legal, and Data, you'll help us build a collections function that is not only efficient and audit-ready, but genuinely future-proof — with AI tooling, clean documentation, and strong external relationships at its core.
Own and maintain the AR aging report and ensure payment failure resolution SLAs are consistently met, with clear escalation paths documented and followed.
Deliver collections, AR, and chargeback inputs to the month-end close calendar on time, every month, and resolve reconciliation breaks between Chargebee, Adyen, and NetSuite within agreed SLAs.
Design, ship, and hand over at least three workflow automations or process improvements per year, each documented with runbooks and measured by manual hours saved or error rate reduction.
Integrate AI tooling into at least one operational process — such as exception triage, write-off flagging, or partner reporting — with appropriate controls and human-in-the-loop review in place.
Manage external partner relationships with Troy, Adyen, and Chargebee in a structured and professional manner, with mapped contacts, clear escalation paths, and regular performance touchpoints.
Create and maintain SOPs and runbooks for all owned processes, documented to a standard that enables handover or audit without reliance on tribal knowledge.
Establish and maintain a regular working rhythm with Product, CS, Legal, and Data on collections, disputes, and AR topics, ensuring no surprises for stakeholders.
You bring a minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on AR and collections operations experience, with direct accountability for dunning, recovery workflows, and outcomes — not a supporting role.
You have a proven track record of managing third-party vendors or agencies against SLAs and KPIs, with a structured approach to performance reviews, escalations, and data quality.
You have worked operationally with a billing platform, a PSP, and an ERP — Chargebee, Adyen, and NetSuite experience is strongly preferred.
You can independently build and maintain operational reports using SQL and a BI tool such as Looker, covering recovery performance, AR aging, dispute trends, and partner KPIs.
You naturally document decisions, maintain audit trails, and operate with close-readiness in mind — comfortable working in a regulated, multi-entity environment.
