WIC Clinic Supervisor - Charlotte St. Clinic - (Mon-Thurs, 7:30a-5p)101 Truman Medical CenterThe Supervisor WIC Program oversees daily clinic operations while supporting quality nutrition services, breastfeeding education, and participant-centered care. This role provides leadership and supervision to clinic staff, ensures compliance with WIC guidelines, and promotes positive health outcomes for program participants.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily clinic operations to ensure efficient workflows and high-quality participant services
Monitor staffing, schedules, PTO requests, and timecard accuracy
Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of clinic staff
Address and resolve participant concerns in a professional and effective manner
Maintain clinic supplies and manage operational resources efficiently
Participate in community outreach and health promotion events
Serve as a role model and communicate organizational and State WIC initiatives to staff
Function as a WIC Dietitian by completing certifications and providing nutrition counseling as needed
Travel to other clinic locations for coverage when necessary
Ensure compliance with Agency, State, and Federal guidelines and policies
Promote quality improvement, patient safety, and cultural diversity within clinic operations
Maintain professional knowledge and compliance with organizational standards and training requirements
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics
Completion of an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) approved Internship Program
WIC program experience
Strong verbal communication skills for interviewing participants and providing nutrition education
Computer skills including word processing and data entry
Written communication skills for reports and educational materials
Ability to present information to small and large groups
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and staff
Ability to travel to corporate and community facilities
Preferred Qualifications
Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
Missouri licensure
Supervisory experience
Bilingual competency
