POSITION SUMMARY:
The Host, Pool & Gym is responsible for the cleaning of assigned areas, including Pool & Gym front of house and heart of house areas; and replenishing all the amenities in Pool & Gym areas and providing services guests within the property as assigned in accordance with Company service standards.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
• Maintain knowledge of the Spa and Fitness Centre including the equipment maintenance and restocking of amenities.
• Be able to walk guests and introduce the facilities and the “how to use” of each wet spa equipment and the pool & gym facilities.
• Assist guests and visitors by taking enquiries and cancellations for Altira Spa conveying all information through to Spa Host or following up as required.
• Ensure a high level of guest relations, service and communication by providing prompt and courteous service, anticipating guest needs and by establishing rapport with guests.
• Convey messages to guests and visitors ensuring confidentiality is maintained for silent guests.
• Maintain the Pool & Gym reception area according to five star standards ensuring retail products are displayed appropriately and all racks and shelves are neat and orderly.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
• Read and update Spa Connect bulletin board daily and newspaper & magazine display to ensure they are current, neat and available at all times.
• Provide Food & Beverage service to guests and maintain Food & Beverage areas, assist with monthly stock take of products.
• Provide assistance to guests/visitors with towels, lockers and hotel amenities.
• Check and clean all gym equipment and yoga room facilities daily.
• Report and follow up all maintenance faults in the general Spa and Fitness Centre area.
• Maintain constant surveillance of guests in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of guests and company’s properties in the event of emergency.
• With/being trained with recognized life guard or first aid certification, provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
• Ensure highest standard of hygiene is maintained at all time.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors from time to time.
• Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
• 1 year related or customer service working experience in 5 stars hotel.
Education
• High school graduated or above.
Skills / Competencies
• Fluent in both written and spoken Cantonese / Mandarin and English.
•Ability to work on flexible shift including overnight, weekends and holiday on rotation basis.
• Must be able to work indoors and be exposed to various environments such as, but not limited to fragrances.
• Competency with Computer usage.
Advantageous Skills
• Experience with Opera/Spa Connect is advantageous.
• Qualified fitness trainer/life guard/first aid certification.
