Boarding Officer

Wilhelmsen Port Services team in Panama wants you to join the team as a Boarding Officer, in this role you will provide attendance to vessels calling ports within the area of responsibility and attend the vessels as requested. You will be acting as a Wilhelmsen representative for the vessel crew and officers and your main tasks would be:
 

•Attend and board vessels as directed in accordance with our standards of operations and customer requirements.

•Collect and process ships documents, as required throughout the port call.

•Assist with transportation of master and crew as instructed.

•Reporting ships arrival/sailing/cargo/commence/complete/ times and condition as applicable.

•Ensure accurate, timely and professional communication to all external and internal parties including suppliers.

•Maintain all the required information up to date in the company system

What we need from you?

•Good communication skills and a very good command of the English language (oral and written).

•Excellence service-oriented mindset , pro-active and well organized.

•Preferable but not exclusive maritime operations experience

• Detail-oriented and highly attentive, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks

• Available to work across different shifts, including rotating schedules

•Valid Driving License and own car

•Ability to swim

•Residence in Panama, Republic of Panama (permanent work permit for other nationalities)
