About the role:

The Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia is seeking a Sous Chef to join our culinary team. This role supports the Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine in leading the day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, consistency, and presentation across all outlets. The Sous Chef plays a key role in driving culinary excellence by developing recipes, maintaining cost controls, and upholding Four Seasons standards for food safety, sanitation, and service.

You will lead, coach, and motivate a team of culinary professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement while ensuring operational efficiency and an elevated guest experience.

 

What you will do:

• Support kitchen operations, ensuring consistent preparation and presentation of all food items

• Lead, coach, and develop culinary team members to uphold Four Seasons standards

• Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and production execution

• Monitor food quality, portion control, and purchasing specifications

• Manage labor and food costs through scheduling, inventory, and efficient operations

• Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and regulatory standards

• Collaborate with leadership and other departments to support overall hotel operations

What you bring:

• Proven culinary experience in a professional kitchen (leadership experience preferred)

• Strong leadership, team development, and communication skills

• Solid understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations

• Ability to manage costs, inventory, and kitchen performance

Schedule & Hours: 

• This is a full time position

• We expect our Sous Chef to be flexible in working mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
