Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a full-time Principal Information Security Engineer (Multiple openings) in Irving, TX.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Principal Information Security Engineer will focus on web access information security projects and function as a technical leader with the information security team. Specific job duties include:

• Establish technical standards and drive US Bank’s overall technical architecture and engineering practices and develop information security products;
• Translate business needs into workable technology solutions and produce both detailed technical work and high-level architectural designs;
• Define the innovative preventative, detective, and monitoring mechanisms to enable security at scale and identify information security issues and risks and developing mitigation plans;
• Deploy enterprise solutions in accordance with solution documentation, including coding and scripting of custom interfaces, workflows, and forms, and various types of pre- and post-implementation testing;
• Work directly with software developers to understand their needs and design security systems and solutions that enable developers to operate more effectively, securely, and safely;
• Work directly with application teams, partner security teams, and administrative teams to identify opportunities to improve our security posture;
• Build tooling, drive process improvements; and
• Work with technical owners and cutting-edge technology to develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.

Uses the following tools and technologies: Identity Management Systems (ForgeRock, Ping Suite, Microsoft Entra ID, AWS IAM, and OKTA), Federated integrations (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, WS-Fed) and directories (AD, LDAP, Ping Directory).

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Security, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering and 5 years (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience in a software development occupation.

Required Skills/Experience:
 

Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: 1) Identifying information security risks and developing mitigation plans. 2) Developing information security products, including Identity and Access Management modules and federation connectors. 3) Coding, scripting, developing workflows, testing, and deploying enterprise solutions. 4) Engineering identity management systems, including ForgeRock, Ping Suite, Microsoft Entra ID, AWS IAM, and OKTA. 5) Working with Federated integrations (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, WS-Fed) and directories (AD, LDAP, Ping Directory). 6) Building automation tooling and driving process improvements.
