Summary
Warehouse Assistant supports daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient handling, storage, and distribution of goods. Key responsibilities include receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, picking and packing orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and organizing stock within the warehouse. The role also involves operating basic warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts where certified), maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and assisting with stock takes.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock audits.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and transportation providers.
- Supervise and train warehouse staff to improve efficiency and performance.
- Implement and optimize warehouse processes and procedures.
- Monitor and manage warehouse equipment and supplies.
- Resolve any issues related to inventory discrepancies or logistics delays.
Required Qualifications
- Developed computer skills.
- Mandatory experience using “SAP Hana” software with EWM module.
- Mandatory “Licence to perform high risk work - class LF”
- Current Qld drivers licence, manual vehicle operation.
- Warehouse and inventory management experience.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skill with the ability to interact with various service providers.
- Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously.
