The Real Estate Planning team sits within American Tower’s Property Management organization in Europe.
The team is responsible for structuring a harmonized, data‑driven view of the European real estate portfolio, supporting executive decision‑making, and driving cross‑market programs aimed at protecting and improving site profitability.
As a Real Estate Planning apprentice, you will support strategic, Europe‑wide initiatives such as cost optimization, risk prevention, and portfolio analytics, working closely with senior program managers and cross‑functional stakeholders (Real Estate, Finance, Legal, Operations).
Responsibilities
Portfolio & Data Analysis Support
- Support the consolidation and maintenance of Europe‑wide real estate portfolio data across multiple markets
- Assist in analyzing site‑level financial performance, including revenue, land rent, margins, and total cost of ownership (TCO)
- Help identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and quality issues, and coordinate with local teams to resolve them
Reporting & Dashboards
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and reports used by senior management
- Support recurring reporting on:
- high‑risk sites
- loss‑making sites
- cold steel / vacant sites
- portfolio performance by market
- Prepare structured analysis and summaries to support monthly and quarterly reviews
Program Support (European Initiatives)
- Support Europe‑wide real estate programs such as:
- Tower Loss Prevention
- Cost optimization / loss‑making site analysis
- Help track program actions, milestones, and status across markets.
- Support the preparation of executive‑level materials (slides, summaries, key messages).
Cross‑Functional Coordination
- Work with Real Estate, Finance, and Legal teams to support data collection and analysis.
- Interface with local country teams to gather inputs and clarify assumptions.
- Ensure documentation and processes are clearly structured and up to date.
Profile
Required
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Business, Finance, Real Estate, Engineering, Data, or similar)
- Strong analytical skills and interest in data‑driven decision‑making
- Good command of Excel; familiarity with Power BI or similar tools is a strong plus
- Ability to structure information clearly and communicate concisely
- Comfortable working in an international, English‑speaking environment
Preferred
- Interest in real estate, finance, or portfolio management
- First experience (internship, apprenticeship, project) in data analysis, consulting, or operations
- Curiosity, autonomy, and willingness to work on complex, sometimes ambiguous topics
