Deloitte Economic Advisory supports its clients with economic expertise, modelling, and econometric analyses. This includes strategic foresight and planning, regulatory economics, economic impact analyses, competition economics as well as anti-trust and litigation. Deloitte Economic Advisory has deep sectoral expertise in energy and climate, telecommunication, and transport.
The open position is in the Energy & Climate Economics team of Economic Advisory. The team helps its clients to master the challenges and opportunities of the energy transition and supports policymakers in designing measures to make the energy system secure and clean while keeping costs at affordable levels. This includes the economic modelling of energy markets to assess the effectiveness of policy measures or prepare outlooks and scenarios on the various futures that the energy sector could have. Our team is young, dynamic, rapidly growing, and passionate about shaping the energy transition. We are deploying cutting-edge modelling techniques in the various sectors including the power sector, the gas and hydrogen markets.
As part of the team you contribute to the multi-faceted consulting engagements in the energy sector. This includes developing, running, and maintaining models, data research, conducting qualitative analyses, preparation of reports and presentations. · Use a wide range of modelling tools and quantitative techniques applied to the energy sector especially electricity, renewables, natural gas, and hydrogen,
· Apply latest findings from economic theory to practical problems to understand and improve the functioning of energy markets,

Strong analytical skills,
Experience in modelling and programming (e.g. GAMS, Python or R),
Background in economics, engineering, mathematics, computer science or similar from top academic institution,
Understanding of the energy sector (internships in the energy sector are an advantage),
Autonomy and independent thinking,
Full proficiency in English, fluency in German is a plus,
Team player.
