The Scientific Research Project Manager position is part of the cross-disciplinary Scientific and Medical Affairs team. Scientific and Medical Affairs is a small, highly committed, and dynamic cross-disciplinary team, with the vision of introducing new dimensions and solutions into digital microscopy. We are responsible for planning and coordination of research projects focusing on new product ideas and product improvements.
As a Scientific Research Project Manager, you will combine your scientific and technical skills with the knowledge of various experts to investigate upcoming applications. In your role, you will support both our Scientific Software Engineers and our product management and development teams with scientific knowledge and technical expertise.

As a Scientific Research Project Manager, you will:
Establish research collaborations with external partners such as academic and clinical laboratories or distributors
Coordinate and conduct research projects with external and internal collaborators into product improvements and product ideas related to CellaVision’s technology
Aid prototype development together with the Scientific and Medical Affairs Team
Perform market research, study customer needs and perform competitor analysis in the field of hematology, pathology or other medical areas related to digital microscopy
Assist with scientific research integration by collaborating with research teams externally and with colleagues in various departments (such as Innovation and Global Sales) internally to contribute to the company's research and development efforts
Provide market insight, well-defined specifications for new products, prepare reports for Product Management and Software and Applications teams
Assist with studies for Global Marketing/Marketing Communications to generate more effective marketing campaigns for upcoming product launches
Attend conferences and other events to stay updated on the latest advancements and market trends
Assist Director Scientific and Medical Affairs in implementation and improvement of the company’s chemical policy.
Visit customers (~15-20 international travelling days).
Qualifications
Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Biomedicine, Engineering or other similar education
Minimum 5 years-experience within the field of hematology or a closely related discipline
High level of experience from medical device industry in research and development
Proven ability to design and manage scientific and proof-of-concept studies
Experience with hands-on laboratory work and working experience in a clinical or research laboratory is a must
Experience with research methodologies and designing clinical research projects
Previous experience with digital microscopy in the field of hematology is highly advantageous
Proven networking skills and experience in the in-vitro-diagnostic area
Fluency in Swedish and English.
