As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking- Data Technology, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm’s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.
Job responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end software solutions: design, develop, and troubleshoot features with awareness of upstream/downstream dependencies and technical impact.
- Write secure, high-quality code in at least one language with limited guidance, following engineering standards and best practices.
- Build and maintain modern web UIs using component-based architecture (pages, layouts, reusable components) with React + TypeScript (or agreed framework).
- Translate Figma/UX designs into pixel-accurate, responsive interfaces, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and strong UI/UX fidelity.
- Implement routing, state management, and backend integration, including REST/GraphQL APIs, client-side data fetching, and leveraging Python where applicable for integration/tooling/automation.
- Ensure quality and operability: accessibility (WCAG/ARIA), performance optimization, unit/integration testing, code reviews, and CI/CD participation.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with UX, product, and engineering on requirements, estimation, delivery, and technical decisions across all levels.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on UI/web development with react.js / angular.js hands-on.
- Extensive practical experience with Python and AWS cloud services, including EKS, ECS and Databases..
- Demonstrated delivery of production web apps with modern front-end stack.
