Job description:
Manage painting/coating materials (primer, topcoat, clear coat, etc.), conduct performance tests, and maintain technical specifications.
Develop and optimize painting processes, including pretreatment, spraying parameters, coating process parameters, and baking conditions.
Monitor critical parameters such as temperature/humidity, airflow, film thickness, and phosphate quality.
Support equipment selection, maintenance of spray/oven systems, and process capability improvement.
Coordinate with suppliers for materials improvement and cost reduction. Contribute to coordinate the technical discussions with suppliers and/or partners for the entrusted projects, involving the necessary internal functions and stakeholders
Solve testing and early production defects (orange peel, color variation, runs, pinholes) and improve first-pass yield.
Prepare design phase process documents, DFMEA/PFMEA, and support NPI validation.
Ensure compliance with VOC, environmental, and quality system requirements (IATF/ISO).
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree or above in materials chemistry.
5 years’ experience on automotive painting/coating technology (PVD technology is preferred).
Basic knowledge of vehicle painting development process.
Good knowledge Manufacturing and production technologies for automotive components
Excellent problem solving skills and self-management skills.
