Job Description:
To provide comprehensive and pragmatic Operational HR Support to Managers and Seniors within a business context in line with company policies, procedures, legal requirements to create commercially focused solutions on people issues in line with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build strong professional relationships with Management teams and actively participate in Senior Management Team meetings.
- Provide commercially focussed advice and support to Managers on all Employee Relations issues in line with Company procedures including disciplinary, grievance and sickness absence issues.
- Raise awareness of current and new Employment Legislation as well as other corporate initiatives
- Produce Monthly HR reports and HR statistics.
- Identify trends and proactively address issues of high turnover / retention, sickness, and cost savings within the Business.
- Lead the HR work stream on ad hoc projects e.g., restructuring, change management, Group HR initiatives.
- Manage all people related escalations confidentially and sensitively, including Speak up cases.
- Assist in ad hoc projects/initiatives on behalf of the Group HR team.
- Networking and building relationships within the wider HR team.
- Upskill, coach and mentor the HRBP team to ensure high level of service from HR team to the business.
- Collaborate with other functions (Talent Acquisition, L&D, P&D, Payroll, Reward) to ensure best People practices in place to support SA business.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Generalist HR experience, preferably gained within commercial environment/BPO environment.
- Relevant qualification and / or equivalent experience/or currently working towards qualification.
- Strong generalist HR background and regular experience of complex HR issues including retrenchment, dismissals, change management and the like.
- Up to date knowledge of Employment Law
- Experience in leading/growing/mentoring team members.
- Articulate in both written and verbal communication with ability to compile decks for Client or internal presentations.
- Experience of working in multi-site/mobile capacity preferred
- Experience with handling CCMA cases to arbitration level

Minimum Requirements
- Experience with handling CCMA cases to arbitration level.
- 5 plus years managerial experience at an HR Operational level.
- Experience of employment tribunal claims and compromise agreements
- Experience of transfers and acquisitions
- Experience in leading/growing/mentoring team members.
- ER and employment law experience.
