As a Facilities & Club Openings Project Manager a typical day might include the following:
- Leading the full lifecycle of projects - from planning to launch - for new club openings, renovations, and capital initiatives.
- Acting as the go-to coordinator between Operations, Design, IT, Marketing, and other teams to keep projects on track.
- Translating big-picture goals into clear timelines, deliverables, and actionable plans.
- Hosting project meetings, tracking milestones, and proactively resolving issues before they escalate.
- Managing procurement for furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), including fitness gear, tech systems, and décor.
- Building strong vendor relationships to ensure quality, pricing integrity, and on-time delivery.
- Issuing purchase orders, reconciling invoices, and maintaining accurate budget visibility.
- Driving cost-saving opportunities and process improvements across procurement and supply chain activities.
- Coordinating post-opening activities like system training and vendor follow-up to ensure smooth operations.
- Documenting lessons learned and sharing best practices to continuously improve future projects.
- Communicating clearly and consistently with leadership and cross-functional teams to maintain alignment and accountability.
To land this role you need to have;
- Post-secondary diploma in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in project coordination or management, ideally within retail, hospitality, or fitness sectors.
- Proven success in procurement, CapEx management, or multi-stakeholder project execution. Experience and strong understanding of construction, interior design and facilities is preferred.
- Strong financial and administrative acumen with experience in budgeting and reporting.
- Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, and other project management tools.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset - and genuine enthusiasm for fitness and wellness.
