Job Title – Planning Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Planning Engineer to support the planning, scheduling, and monitoring of construction and real estate development projects. This role involves developing project schedules, tracking progress, and ensuring projects are completed within established timelines while maintaining efficiency and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scheduling
Develop detailed project schedules, work breakdown structures, and resource plans.
Prepare baseline programs and monitor project timelines throughout execution.
Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and consultants for schedule alignment.
Ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved on time.
Progress Monitoring & Reporting
Track project progress and analyze schedule performance.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Identify delays, risks, and critical path issues affecting project timelines.
Recommend corrective actions and recovery plans when required.
Resource & Cost Coordination
Support resource allocation and manpower planning activities.
Coordinate with procurement and project teams for material and equipment scheduling.
Assist in monitoring project costs and productivity against planned targets.
Ensure efficient utilization of resources across project phases.
Project Controls & Risk Management
Implement project control procedures and planning standards.
Conduct schedule analysis and risk assessments.
Support mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and disruptions.
Maintain accurate planning records and project documentation.
Technical Coordination
Collaborate with engineering, design, and construction teams.
Review project drawings, specifications, and scope requirements.
Ensure alignment between project execution plans and schedules.
Support coordination of site activities and project sequencing.
Software & Planning Tools
Utilize project planning software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
Maintain and update project schedules and dashboards.
Generate planning data and performance analysis reports.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure adherence to company standards, project requirements, and safety procedures.
Support implementation of quality and operational excellence initiatives.
Ensure planning activities comply with contractual obligations and timelines.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
4–8 years of experience in project planning within construction or real estate development.
Strong experience with Primavera P6, MS Project, and project scheduling techniques.
Understanding of construction methodologies and project lifecycle management.
