If you can walk into a slightly messy brand transition, calm the room, make customers feel heard, and turn “acquisition communications” into something people actually understand, this could be a very good use of your next 12 months.
First Focus is growing across New Zealand. We’re now almost 400 people across NZ, Australia and the Philippines, ranked the #1 MSP for 9 years running, and continuing to expand through acquisition. This role will help bring acquired New Zealand brands into the First Focus ecosystem without making everyone feel like they’ve been trapped inside a corporate rebrand PowerPoint.
You’ll focus on customer communication, social engagement and trust-building during acquisition and brand transition periods. This is not a broad digital marketing role. It’s about helping customers and communities feel informed, respected and confident while things change around them.
You’ll primarily support engagement across LinkedIn, YouTube, Reddit and Meta platforms.
Strong judgement matters here. We need someone who knows the difference between meaningful participation and the kind of empty engagement that makes the internet sigh heavily into its coffee.
Requirements
This is a dedicated full-time role for 12 months.
Benefits
You’ll also be working in a business that values curiosity, ownership and clear communication. Our value of Always Communicate feels especially relevant here, because this role is all about helping people understand what is changing, why it matters and what comes next, without making them decode a wall of corporate fog. You can read more about how we think about our values here: https://www.firstfocus.com.au/about-us/
Acquisitions are big moments. Done poorly, they create confusion, uncertainty and the kind of LinkedIn announcement everyone politely scrolls past. Done well, they build trust and help customers feel part of something better, not just something bigger.
That’s where you come in. You’ll help shape how First Focus shows up in New Zealand during a major growth phase, supporting customers through change and turning brand transition into something clearer, calmer and more human.
If you like meaningful engagement, smart experimentation and work that actually affects how people feel about a business, this is the good stuff. Slightly complicated good stuff, obviously. We are still in technology.
