About the job | Senior Project Manager – SAP S/4HANA ERP Implementation

In this role, you will own the delivery and coordination of multiple intertwined SAP S/4HANA workstreams within a transformative Bluefield-style implementation program, one of the largest components of Tryg Finance’s strategic transformation. You will work closely across finance, business functions, and the BID organization (Tryg’s IT unit), onsite and offshore, bridging strategy execution with business process design and technology delivery.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Managing and leading multiple SAP S/4HANA ERP workstreams simultaneously, ensuring alignment, progress, and delivery quality
• Driving preparatory "SAP no regrets" activities ahead of core implementation phases to lay a strong foundation for success
• Engaging closely with finance systems and process owners, insurance and banking domain experts to implement SAP standard best practice solutions aligned with regulatory, operational, and reporting requirements
• Leading governance, risk, and scope management on this mission-critical program, backed by strong and involving stakeholder communication, including senior finance and IT leaders
• Coordinating stage gate decision points and testing phases (system integration, user acceptance, regression) with a focus on quality, the design end-to-end, and user readiness
• Leading change management and adoption efforts, including collaboration with the business readiness and training teams
• Partnering with the BID IT organization and data product teams in delivering a new insurance subledger (FPSL) - a key component supporting our “one set of numbers” vision and enhanced transparency in financial reporting
• Ensuring seamless cooperation with actuarial, data, and finance teams to deliver integrated and compliant solutions in a complex system landscape

Location: Ballerup, with active collaboration across the Nordic region and occasional travel.

 

About you | Experienced ERP Senior Project Manager with SAP and financial services expertise

To be successful in this role, you bring 7+ years of hands-on leadership in SAP S/4HANA or large ERP implementations, ideally in insurance, banking, or other regulated financial services sectors. You understand the challenges of integrating new ERP systems into complex landscapes, balancing technical, business, and regulatory requirements.

You have:

• Proven experience managing multiple SAP S/4HANA or ERP workstreams in parallel within large, complex organizations
• Solid knowledge of SAP financial modules (FI, CO, and Group Reporting) and their application in insurance or banking contexts
• Strong skills in project governance, scope and risk management, and stakeholder engagement, including technical SME’s and senior leadership
• Experience working closely with IT organizations like BID and external vendors in agile, matrixed service delivery setups
• A collaborative mindset that enables you to work between strategy execution, transactional finance processes, IT delivery, and actuarial/data teams
• Relevant qualifications such as PMP, Prince2, Agile/Scrum certifications are advantageous
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, IT, Finance, or related fields
• Excellent communication skills; fluent in English and preferably a Scandinavian language (Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian)
