Reporting to the Executive Director, Commercial and Controls, the 2 x Senior Manager Commercial are critical leadership roles, responsible for ensuring the branches and their portfolio of projects are commercially protected through strategic procurement, robust contract management and effective dispute resolution. By proactively managing risk across the project lifecycle, the role safeguards organisational interests, drives informed decision-making and supports confident delivery across complex and high-profile programs. We are looking for 2 Senior Managers Commercial to be focused on the following areas:
Through the implementation of robust, forward-looking commercial and contract management practices, you will strengthen governance, proactively identify and mitigate emerging risks, and drive disciplined commercial oversight. Your leadership will foster strong stakeholder engagement and ensure contracts remain active tools for performance, accountability and value realisation throughout the project lifecycle.

About You
You operate with a high level of autonomy and accountability, exercising sound and strategic judgement in the implementation of policies and ensuring the quality and integrity of the commercial advice you provide. As a confident and decisive leader, you make informed independent decisions that shape team priorities, resolve day-to-day challenges and drive outcomes that support project and portfolio objectives.
You will demonstrate the ability to negotiate effectively and devise safe, practical and commercially sound solutions within constrained physical and budget environments, carefully managing interface risks while maintaining focus on time, cost, quality and scope.
Your leadership style is impactful, adaptable and responsive to change, enabling you to lead a variable number of direct and indirect reports while building a high-performing team of leaders. You foster a collaborative project culture that strengthens governance, encourages proactive risk management and supports agile, productive relationships across stakeholders. Through strong partnership with your reporting line manager on complex decisions, you help guide strategic outcomes while ensuring projects are delivered in alignment with broader organisational and Transport objectives.
