Senior Software Development Engineer (Advanced Technical)

As a Senior Software Development Engineer (Advanced Technical), you will serve as a key technical leader and subject matter expert within the Work Automation team. You will apply deep technical expertise and strong problem-solving skills to design and deliver complex, high-impact solutions that drive the evolution of our platform and contribute to broader organizational objectives.
You will work on highly complex technical challenges, exercising independent judgment in designing methods, architectures, and evaluation criteria. In addition to hands-on development, you will guide technical direction, influence stakeholders at multiple levels, and act as a trusted advisor within your area of specialization.
This role combines strong individual contribution with technical leadership, including mentoring others and managing major technical initiatives from concept through delivery.
• Apply advanced technical and scientific principles to design innovative solutions that support organizational goals.
• Lead the design and delivery of complex, large-scale technical initiatives that contribute to business growth and platform evolution.
• Analyze complex systems, data, and requirements to develop robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
• Exercise independent judgment in defining architectures, methodologies, and evaluation frameworks.
• Act as a go-to expert within your technical domain, maintaining awareness of emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, influencing decisions across levels.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, UX, Engineering, and external partners where applicable.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to engineers within the team.
• Lead and manage major technical projects, including delegation of tasks, oversight of deliverables, and quality assurance.
• Contribute to and uphold best practices in software engineering, system design, and development processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (Master’s or PhD is a plus).
• Typically 7+ years of relevant experience in software development or a related technical field (advanced degrees may reduce experience requirements).
• Deep expertise in at least one technical domain, with a strong reputation as a subject matter expert.
• Proven experience solving complex technical problems requiring advanced analytical and design skills.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and modern development practices.
• Experience leading or contributing to large-scale, complex technical projects.
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Experience mentoring and guiding other engineers in a technical capacity.
• Strong practical knowledge of project management principles and execution.
• Proactive, self-driven mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and technical excellence.
