SGA Dental Partners is hiring a Senior Accountant. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity and validity of financial data used to generate financial statements and management reports. This position will provide an opportunity to join a successful, rapidly growing dental services organization that has partnered with a reputable private equity investor in the industry. The Senior Accountant will have opportunities to develop skills in many different areas, including financial reporting, M&A integration, cash and expense management, and dental services operations.
Essential Duties
- Play a key role in the company’s month-end close process by posting journal entries, preparing account reconciliations, and producing financial statements and related reporting
- Collaborate with the company’s Finance team to perform monthly variance analysis and support the company’s annual budget process
- Assist with annual financial statement audit and tax preparation processes
- Support the financial/accounting integration of acquired companies
- Develop expertise in company’s accounting system (Sage Intacct) and other key systems
- Identify and drive potential process improvements and efficiencies
- Assist with other critical projects as needed
- All other accounting duties within the position level and authority.
- Assumes and executes additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education/ Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting roles (corporate accounting preferred)
- Experience with Sage Intacct
- General ledger and month-end close experience
- Experience working in a multi-entity corporate environment
Physical/ Environmental Requirements
- Must be able to carry and lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
- This position will require sitting for long periods of time, walking, standing, bending, and walking, as well as using fine motor skills, such as finger dexterity for typing and using small hand tools.
- This position requires average to above average visual acuity and hearing.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to read memos, computer screens, personnel forms, and clinical and administrative documents.
