General Description/ Primary Purpose:
This position will focus on development of DAQ hardware (sensors, I/O devices, chassis, etc.) as part of the overall APT effort, including the HVS machines, HVS Test Tracks, and both Test Roads. The role will be responsible for the design, selection, testing, installation, calibration, and maintenance of the DAQ hardware. They will work closely with the Senior Instrumentation Software Engineer to ensure seamless integration of the comprehensive DAQ effort. In the field troubleshooting of the DAQ hardware is required. This position is located on-site in the Pavement Research Unit of the FDOT State Materials Office in Gainesville, FL.
Job Functions:
The position requires a highly motivated and organized employee who is responsible for the following tasks:
Maintenance of existing APT DAQ hardware such as sensors, controls boards
Coordinate the testing and calibration of sensors
Develop Installation Protocols focused on embedded sensors
Development of Lessons Learned document detailing successes and failures of chosen sensors, calibration procedures, installation procedures, etc.
Required Qualifications
