ASRC Federal is looking for a Benefit Analyst to join the Total Rewards Team, reporting to the Senior Manager of Benefits.
Work location: Hybrid/Remote (must be local to the DC metro area)
Duties and Responsibilities: Leave Administration • Administer leave and absence program, oversee requests, approvals, denials and updates between employees, Shared Services, and third-party leave administrators, to ensure consistent application of leave and absence program policies and practices. • Manage reporting and status updates between third party vendors, Shared Services and HR. To include communication of leave and return to work status and system updates. • Assist employees with inquiries about leave via email or tickets. • Lead the review and recommendation of ADA requests, including requests for partial return to work from disability and intermittent leave requests. Present summary and recommendations to Committee and communicate outcome to all applicable parties. • Develop and deliver communications and training as appropriate. Update leave guides and all available communication as part of any plan and policy changes. • Analyze leave and absence data and patterns, providing reporting and recommendations of future absence management strategies. • Ensure compliance with leave-related company policies and federal and state requirements, to include updating company policies as needed. • Lead vendor relationship with Leave Administrator and brokers. • Partner with finance, payroll, HRIS, legal, HRBP’s and vendors to effectively and efficiently perform all aspects of benefit program management.
Wellness • Support the Sr. Benefits Partner in planning and execution of wellbeing programs and events to boost employee engagement and raise awareness of wellness program offerings. • Plan annual wellness activities, challenges, flu clinics and events as needed. • Partner with communications team by promoting webinars and resources periodically.
Other duties • Oversee PTO Buy or Sell program by partnering with payroll and finance. Gather enrollment data and process requests. Coordinate PTO Sell annually with the finance team. • Partner with the Sr. Benefits Manager to review current business processes, make recommendations, and implement procedures to streamline ASRC Federal practices for efficiency and an improved benefits delivery experience. • Respond to Tier 1 Professional development approval requests and document approvals/denials following ASRC Federal policy.
Requirements: • BA/BS in Human Resources/Business or related field with 2-4 years of relevant experience required; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. • In-depth knowledge of federal and state regulations that govern benefit programs, including FMLA, ADA and USERRA. This includes state-paid family leave and time off programs. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with ability to manage end to end processes. • Ability to maintain confidentiality, work independently and develop strong working relationships and collaborate with a cross-functional group of partners, both internal and external. • Ability to adapt and drive improvements and continuously simplify processes where possible. • Comfortable with ambiguity, uncertainty, and change. • Experience with relevant business systems (Dayforce Ceridian, Ben Admin systems, Deltek Costpoint) desired. • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications. • Travel to office locations as needed during enrollments or special events.
