JOB SUMMARY: Support the social-emotional growth of students in schools by fostering positive relationships and responding to students’ needs. Working under the supervision of licensed mental health staff, this role helps students build regulation skills, supports them during times of emotional distress, and contributes to a safe, inclusive school environment. The SEL Technician also plays an important role in tracking progress through consistent documentation and collaboration with the mental health team.

Provide direct support to students through SEL skill-building activities, small groups, and one-on-one check-ins, under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals.

Assist with preparing materials, monitoring student progress, and maintaining documentation related to mental health in coordination with licensed mental health staff.

Collaborate with mental health staff to identify students in need of additional SEL support and assist with intervention strategies, including assisting with the implementation, interpretation, and response of SEL screener data as appropriate
