PMO/ Project Coordinator- Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated PMO Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Project Management Office (PMO) by providing essential data analysis, reporting, and financial insights to ensure the successful delivery of projects. This role requires a strong understanding of project management methodologies, excellent analytical abilities, and proficiency in Power BI for creating impactful visualizations and reports.
- Responsibilities:
- Project Reporting and Analysis:
- Develop and maintain standardized project reporting templates and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs), project status, and resource allocation.
- Collect, validate, and analyze project data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Generate regular project status reports, highlighting progress, risks, issues, and dependencies for project managers and stakeholders.
- Identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement in project performance through data analysis.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and presentations for senior management to support decision-making.
- Power BI Development and Maintenance:
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize project data, financial information, and performance metrics.
- Connect to various data sources, including project management software, financial systems, and databases, to extract relevant data for reporting in Power BI.
- Utilize Power BI's features to create compelling visualizations, including charts, graphs, maps, and tables, to effectively communicate project information.
- Ensure Power BI reports are user-friendly, visually appealing, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and best practices to enhance reporting capabilities.
- Project Finance Support:
- Assist in the development and management of project budgets, including tracking expenditures, forecasting costs, and analyzing variances.
- Monitor project financial performance, ensuring adherence to approved budgets and identifying potential cost overruns.
- Collaborate with project managers and finance teams to gather financial data, prepare financial reports, and provide financial analysis.
- Support the development of business cases and cost-benefit analyses for proposed projects.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures in project-related activities.
- PMO Support:
- Provide support to project managers in utilizing project management tools and methodologies.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of PMO processes, procedures, and templates.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of PMO functions and services.
- Support the management of project documentation and knowledge sharing within the PMO.
- Assist in project portfolio management activities, including project prioritization and alignment with strategic goals.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Project Management, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in a PMO or project-related role.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and data analysis functions.
- Expertise in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX calculations, and report/dashboard development.
- Solid understanding of project financial management principles, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant certification.
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira).
- PMO Support:
- Provide support to project managers in utilizing project management tools and methodologies.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of PMO processes, procedures, and templates.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of PMO functions and services.
- Support the management of project documentation and knowledge sharing within the PMO.
- Assist in project portfolio management activities, including project prioritization and alignment with strategic goals.
