Expectations of the Role:
The Digital Engine Services team is seeking a skilled Mobile App Software Developer to design, develop, maintain, and support mobile applications used as ground support tools for engine maintenance and troubleshooting (DCTU/FAST units).
The successful candidate will contribute to Agile development activities aligned with Digital Engine Services business requirements and P&WC IT architecture and will be involved in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
What You Will Do:
- Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.
- Translate software requirements into technical designs and specifications (including class diagrams).
- Develop, test, and deploy applications via app stores.
- Write robust, maintainable code and implement unit tests to ensure reliability and performance.
- Produce and maintain complete technical documentation (design, code reviews, test plans, results, and release packages).
- Investigate and resolve in-service issues; implement fixes and enhancements.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve development efficiency.
- Participate to front-end development
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 5-8 years of experience in software design, development, and support.
- Proven experience developing and releasing mobile applications (iOS and/or Android).
- Strong understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle.
- Experience with cross-platform frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter).
- Proficiency with iOS development tools (Xcode, debugging, profiling) and App Store deployment processes (App Store Connect, TestFlight).
- Strong programming skills in at least one language (Swift, Objective-C, or Java).
- Ability to design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and authentication (JWT, OAuth)
- Strong experience in front-end development using Angular (latest versions preferred)
- Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript / TypeScript
- Experience developing applications in cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and tools like Docker
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Travis CI).
- Knowledge of UI/UX best practices and object-oriented design principles.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (Azure DevOps, Git).
- Hands-on experience with unit testing, test automation, and TDD.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (English required).
- Team-oriented, proactive, and highly motivated.
Beneficial Skills:
- Back-end development experience with C# and .NET (e.g., .NET Core / .NET 6+)
- Proficiency in building interactive data visualizations with Apache ECharts
- Familiarity with microservices architecture
Shifts/Work Hours:
Day Shift: typically 9:00-16:00 IST on-site, on weekdays, with 2 hours of remote work to support EST meetings or training
On call support: availability outside standard hours for urgent issues.
