The Mission:
We’re looking for a Head of Data & Analytics to lead and grow our data function from our Barcelona headquarters. In this role, you’ll take full ownership of the strategy, architecture, and team, transforming data into a true competitive edge across clinical operations, commercial outcomes, and the overall patient experience.
The Role:
This is a hybrid role combining strategic leadership with hands-on execution. You’ll help define how the company leverages data to scale, while staying closely involved in the underlying architecture, models, and dashboards. You’ll lead a team of 5–10 analysts, analytics engineers, and data scientists, and work closely with senior leadership as well as Clinical, Commercial, Operations, and Product teams.
Define and take ownership of the data and analytics strategy, ensuring it aligns closely with overall business goals
Lead, coach, and expand a team of 5–10 professionals across analytics, analytics engineering, and data science
Continuously develop and scale the data platform and architecture (data warehouse, modelling layer, BI, and ML tools) to support growth
Collaborate with leaders across Clinical, Commercial, Operations, Marketing, and Product to integrate data into everyday decision-making
Build and maintain the core analytics and reporting infrastructure that supports clinics, patient journeys, and market expansion
Promote a strong culture of data quality, governance, and self-service capabilities across the organization
Drive key initiatives such as forecasting, patient outcome analysis, clinical performance tracking, and commercial optimization
Stay hands-on when needed — reviewing models, guiding architectural decisions, and elevating technical standards
What we need:
Experience: 8+ years in data and analytics, including at least 3 years in a leadership role at Director or Head level
Technical Skills: Strong foundation in SQL and modern data tools (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, dbt, Looker, Tableau, Power BI), with familiarity in ML and data science workflows
Track Record: Demonstrated success in building or scaling a data function in fast-paced environments — ideally within healthcare, multi-site retail, marketplaces, or subscription-based businesses
Strategic Thinking: Ability to turn business needs into a clear data strategy and effectively communicate insights to executive stakeholders
Leadership: Proven ability to hire, develop, and retain senior data professionals
Hands-on Approach: Willing and able to stay close to the work when needed, contributing directly to technical and analytical tasks
Languages: Fluent in English; Spanish is a strong advantage but not essential
Location: Based in Barcelona or open to relocating, as this is an on-site position
