This is a standing post, with constantly patrolling of the Terminal, Ramp, Cargo Area. Must ensure that vehicles are never left unattended, and if found must be reported. Direct the flow of traffic; assist the public; identify parking violations. Issue tickets: and/or take appropriate action to mitigate congestion and enforce local, state, or federal rules and regulations.
SALARY: $21.25/hr.

Secure doors, staircases, escalators, and elevators where access to a secured area is possible without passing through a security checkpoint.
Prevent any person without proper identification from entering a secured area and directing customers to the proper path/location.
Responding to any breach of security when an alarm is sounded within the assigned area of responsibility in accordance with Airport or local security procedures.
Patrol, or is posted at, specific locations to perform varied traffic control and parking enforcements functions.
Must interact appropriately, tactfully, and patiently with the general public.
Maintain security logs and incident reports.
Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with passengers, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
Comply with all safety, security, compliance and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities.
Must work schedule as assigned.

License / Certificates:
· Valid State Security Guard License
· Valid 8 hours annual in-service training certificate 16 hours OJT certificate
Experience:
· Previous security guard experience preferred.
Overall:
· Must be 18 years of age or older.
· Must submit to and pass a drug screen.
· Must meet all requirements to receive required airport SIDA badge and Customs Seal (if applicable), including successful completion of a background check and ten-year work history.
