

The Manager on Duty is responsible for all aspects of the casino floor and overseeing the day-to-day operations, as well as substituting for departments when needed. The Manager on Duty is accountable to assist in the planning, directing and coordination of tasks in the area of Casino Departments. Effectively lead the Management Team towards advancing 7 CLANS CASINOS and the Tribe’s business goals and optimize efficiency of structure and economy of operations while maximizing revenues for the Casino. Performs all functions in accordance with applicable laws and gaming regulations, mission, and objectives of the Otoe-Missouria Tribe of Oklahoma, as well as established policies, procedures, and controls.
Essential Leadership Duties and Management Responsibilities:
Responsible to lead the Management Team and assist Department Managers in the successful operation and administration of all operating aspects in each department; provide leadership and demonstrate the ability to achieve high standards of performance; evaluate operations and make recommendations and/or adjustments as needed; establish short and long-term operational goals and monitor achievement of performance; assist with building teamwork and foster development of all team members.
Assist with development and ensure adequate levels of profitability, financial security, and proper planning for reserves, capital expenditures and address unforeseen emergencies; maintain internal controls and financial reporting of Casino operations.
Attending major promotional events ensures ambitious standards of customer service and promote positive guest friendly relations; provide safety and security for all team members and guests.
Monitors all relevant activities of the departments, to ensure that all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and controls of the organization, and the National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) and the Otoe-Missouria Gaming Commission (OMGC) are understood and enforced by departmental personnel.
Performs all duties in accordance with company team member handbook, objectives of the Otoe Missouria Tribe, internal policies, procedures, and controls, as well as applicable laws and gaming regulations, including but not limited to, the state-tribal compact, IGRA, MICS, OM TICS, and the Bank Secrecy Act.
Responsible for guest service tasks including, but not limited to guest disputes, guest complaints, guest conduct, situational investigations, and guest ejections or bans. Listens to guest complaints and resolves problems to restore and promote good public relations.
Responsible for various aspects of team member relations as well, including team member conduct, appearance, duties, complaints, and inquiries.
GAMING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and or EXPERIENCE:
College Degree preferred. Must have knowledge of Tribe’s Gaming Compact, Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, and National Indian Gaming Commission.
Must have gaming experience of five (5) years or more, working with Native Tribes, and working with Federal and State agencies.
Must hold substantial expertise and qualified experience in casino business and hospitality management for an extended period; preference will be given to candidates with executive level management experience in the Indian Gaming industry.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Must possess exceptional leadership and decision-making ability; effective management skills in all areas of communication, organization, motivation, and problem solving; excellent customer service and people skills.
Must possess knowledge of player tracking systems and ability to analyze statistical data for developing and implementing programs to enhance player development and growth.
Ability to understand financial statements and common financial measurement tools to achieve and monitor financial thresholds.
Must be punctual and dependable in reporting to work as scheduled and completing assigned tasks directed by General Manager and or Lead MOD.
Knowledge, skills, and experience in the hiring, training, scheduling and supervision of staff, communications, decision making, problem solving, complaint resolution and resources allocation.
Read, write, and speak the English language. Read professional publications, memos, emails, logs, newsletters, and documents.

Establish and maintain positive relationships with all other executive level management, other managerial and supervisory staff, and other Team Members. Work well alone or within a team.
Utilize MS Office products at basic (create new documents, open/edit existing documents) to intermediate (import/export data, create templates) skill level.
Exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job duties and responsibilities.
Travel locally, regionally, or out-of-state as needed.
Must be willing and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Must be able to provide the following cards or work authorization documents: All documents required to show the incumbent is eligible to work in the United States. Required to pass a drug test and obtain and maintain a gaming license to work in a casino from the Otoe Missouria Gaming Commission. It is always the responsibility of the Team Member to have all appropriate document(s) current and valid.
