Job Title: Outpatient Therapist/Counselor

Location: Northpoint Boise (Adult mental health outpatient in Boise, ID)

- Tuesday 8am-6:30pm
- Wednesday 11am-9:30pm
- Thursday 11am-9:30pm
- Friday 8am-6:30pm
Compensation: $34-45/hour

POSITION SUMMARY: As a key member of the Northpoint team, the Therapist/Counselor will oversee the therapeutic services provided to a caseload of clients. This individual will act as the treatment plan coordinator for the multi-disciplinary team in the development and implementation of the master treatment plan and the discharge plan for each client. The Therapist/Counselor will provide individual, group and family therapy for assigned clients, as required by contractual and licensure obligations. This person will actively communicate with support staff, treatment teams, and outside agencies on treatment and safety issues pertaining to clients and their family members. The Counselor will complete all documentation associated with these duties in a professional and timely manner. Northpoint Recovery also supports adult mental health primary conditions in the outpatient setting in select markets.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Provide counseling, assessments and group facilitation to individuals and families
- Coordinate all aspects of direct clinical care from admission to discharge
- Consult with the multidisciplinary treatment team to provide quality client care
- Provide orientation and education to clients, families and others to aid in the therapeutic process
- Collaborate with assigned clients in the development of written treatment plans; include client and family involvement in assessment, treatment, education and discharge planning
- Monitor clients on an ongoing basis to continually assess needs and facilitate treatment and interventions
- Document clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment plan, diagnostic summaries, and progress charting in a timely manner to assure comprehensive and quality client care
- Actively participate as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and maintain effective working relationships with employees and peers
- Maintain professional boundaries with clients at all times
- Oversee and participate in the quality assurance and compliance activities of the facility
- Provide clinical updates to utilization review and representatives of managed care to best coordinate reimbursement of treatment services
- Coordinate with community based providers and referral sources to ensure optimal levels of care and treatment outcomes, post discharge
- Case staffing and individual case supervision
- Facilitate individual and group therapy
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of care
- Other clinically appropriate services and special projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s Degree of Mental Health or Social Sciences required
- Must hold an active mental health licensure in the state where treatment services are rendered (ID - LMSW, LCSW, LPC, or LCPC)
- Must maintain applicable state licensure requirements at hire, and for the entire duration of employment
- 1+ year of experience in relevant field required
- Ability to work with a diverse population and possess strong interpersonal skills and knowledge required for treating clients assigned
- Must hold strong personal boundaries and able to build rapport with patients
- Must understand and adhere to the ethical standards of the respective licensure governing board
