What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or patients by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and high-traffic spaces to help to deter unauthorized access, support orderly operations, and relay security-related information to site contacts when needed.
• Support site personnel during medical-related emergencies, disturbances, and/or after-hours activities by following post orders and maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess Act 235 qualification in Pennsylvania only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
