

Citi’s Financial Strategy Group (FSG) is the corporate finance advisory team in Citi’s Investment Bank. We are a global team of bankers that works across all sectors advising investment banking clients on capital structure, credit ratings, capital allocation, and financial policy. The group is actively engaged in the origination and execution of transactions across all investment banking product groups. The FSG Investment Banking Analyst is responsible for preparing data-driven analytics, presentations, and advisory solutions for Citi’s corporate clients. We are looking for an analytical thinker with a quantitative background and prior experience or interest in corporate finance.
Responsibilities:
Work with senior bankers and participate in client transactions, projects and assignments as the junior member of the Investment Banking team
Organize and analyze sophisticated financial data used in client proposals and strategic plans
Prepare written recommendations, corporate finance materials and exhibits for pitches and live transactions
Conduct economic and financial research
Build complex financial and statistical models
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Qualifications:
0-2 years of relevant experience
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a quantitative or financial field such as Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or another similar field with interest in corporate finance
Experience with data analysis, financial modeling, and problem solving
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment in order to meet deadlines
Series 79 and 63 required within 150 days of joining.
Education:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a quantitative or financial field
