POSITION SUMMARY
The Associate Director of ZICC Infrastructure Engineering Services leads the strategic enablement and augmentation of engineering capabilities for all Zoetis global infrastructure towers: Cloud, Datacenter, Network, Workspace, Service Desk, AI Enablement, and Collaboration. This role is pivotal for scaling engineering excellence from ZICC, delivering Infrastructure-as-a-Product, automation, and AI/ML readiness through structured collaboration with tower leaders. The Director ensures consistent quality, innovation, and technical maturity in everything ZICC delivers, acting as the connective tissue between global leadership and local engineering talent. The position is global in scope, supporting cross-functional teams and driving outcome-based engagement models that flexibly align with business priorities.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engineering Enablement & Delivery Oversight
Lead and manage ZICC engineering functions supporting all infrastructure domains. Ensure successful execution of engineering work aligned with global architecture, playbooks, and platform standards. Coordinate resource allocation, backlog management, and handoff processes with global leaders.
- Innovation & Capability Acceleration
Drive engineering innovation by introducing structured methods such as sprint reviews, pilot programs, and DevOps practices. Partner with tower leaders to co-design experiments, proofs-of-concept, and automation pilots led by ZICC engineers. Foster a culture of experimentation, R&D, and AI/ML prototyping.
- Talent Development & Skill Maturity
Develop capability maturity frameworks for ZICC engineers aligned to global infrastructure goals (IaC, AIOps, FinOps, observability, etc.). Lead mentoring, knowledge-sharing, and training initiatives to grow ZICC engineering bench strength. Ensure teams are AI/ML-aware and cloud-native capable.
- Collaboration & Communication Excellence
Act as a trusted partner to global tower leaders, ensuring clarity, commitment, and consistent delivery from ZICC. Establish feedback and engagement rhythms (syncs, QBRs, retrospectives) with global stakeholders. Champion clear, proactive, and culturally agile communication across India, US, EU, and other regions.

Operate in a flex-hours model to ensure ZICC is aligned and responsive to US/EU collaboration needs. Foster a resilient engineering culture that responds constructively to change, ambiguity, and shifting priorities.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
- Internal:
Frequent interaction with global infrastructure tower leaders (Cloud, Datacenter, Network, Workspace, Service Desk, AI Enablement, Collaboration), ZICC engineers, Infosys partners, and cross-functional IT/business teams. - External:
Engagement with strategic vendors, service providers, and technology partners as needed for platform delivery, innovation, and support.
RESOURCES MANAGED
Financial Accountability
Responsible for ZICC engineering budget, resource allocation, and vendor management in support of global infrastructure initiatives.
Supervision
Directly manages ZICC engineering teams and leads staff augmentation efforts for all infrastructure towers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years in infrastructure, engineering services, or global delivery leadership—ideally across multiple technology domains (cloud, network, workspace, datacenter, etc.).
- Proven experience leading global delivery teams and supporting engineering capability across multiple domains.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure lifecycle, platform enablement, and cross-functional technology collaboration.
- Demonstrated success implementing engineering operating models (agile, DevOps, platform engineering).
- Experience managing flexible/shift-based teams to align with global time zones.
- Knowledge of automation, observability, and AI/ML experimentation frameworks preferred.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
- Deep expertise in at least one infrastructure domain (cloud, data center, networking, endpoint, or collaboration).
- Familiarity with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible), automation frameworks, observability platforms, and AI/ML prototyping.
- Experience with compliance, regulatory frameworks, and enterprise change management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including intercultural fluency.
PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Predominantly office-based, with flexibility for remote collaboration and occasional travel.
- Ability to work flexibly across global time zones.
- No unusual physical requirements; standard attendance and travel as needed for global meetings or team events.
