GENERAL STATEMENT OF THE FUNCTION

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Associates degree or higher in HVAC-R Technology or closely related field.
4 or more years of work experience in the HVAC-R field.
Refrigerant Usage Certification
Teaching experience preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, include the following.

Introduction to Heating and Air Conditioning Technology
Basic Compression – Refrigeration
Brazing and Piping
Controls
Refrigeration System Components
Electricity for HVACR
Air Conditioning I
Air Conditioning II
Refrigerant, Retrofit, and Regulations
Heating Systems
Commercial Refrigeration
Heat Load and Air Properties
Special Project in HVACR
Supervised Work Experience in HVACR
Additional Courses may be offered as needed and subject to change as curriculum is updated.
