Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and supplier quality management of components for BorgWarner AWD (All-Wheel Drive) systems and Torque Management systems.
- Drive supplier performance management, continuous improvement initiatives, supplier audits, zero-defect programs, and targeted quality improvement projects.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering and Purchasing teams to identify cost reduction opportunities in product design and manufacturing processes, and support sustainable cost improvement across the supply base through Lean methodologies.
- Support fast-paced and rapidly evolving new energy vehicle (NEV) programs and ensure robust supplier readiness for new product launches.
- Build and maintain a high-performing, competitive, environmentally friendly, and sustainable supply chain aligned with BorgWarner’s quality and sustainability objectives.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education & Background:
- Master’s degree preferred; Bachelor’s degree or above from a key university.
- Engineering background required, preferably in Vehicle Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in automotive drivetrain systems.
- Experience in transmission, engine, axle, driveline, or electric drive systems is highly desirable.
Technical Skills & Quality Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of supplier quality management tools and processes, including APQP, PPAP, change management, warranty/claim handling, 8D problem solving, VDA 6.3 process audits, IATF 16949, CQI-9 or other special process audits.
- Proficient in Six Sigma, Red X problem-solving methodologies, and the application of statistical methods for data-driven decision-making.
