General Summary
The Executive Underwriting Admin supports the India Underwriting function by managing underwriting administration, case data management, quality checks, and MIS reporting. The role ensures efficient workflows, accurate data, and effective coordination with underwriters, internal teams, and clients in line with RGA standards.
Key Responsibility
Work closely with the Underwriting Support team for the India branch to manage case administration including
Reviewing all facultative underwriting cases received via the portal and designated email inboxes.
Creating new case records and inputting case details into RGA systems.
Checking RGA systems for previous case records and updating details to appropriately alert underwriters.
Performing underwriting data digitization and quality checks (QC) of cases prior to allocation to underwriters.
Conducting capacity checks for facultative, treaty, and enquiry cases where the sum assured exceeds predefined thresholds.
Assisting with claims-related checks, as required.
Managing Retrospective Underwriting Opinion cases, including allocation to underwriters and maintaining proper records.
Verifying policy details in response to queries received from internal teams or RGA clients.
Preparing and maintaining periodic MIS and operational reports for the Underwriting team and senior management.
Updating RGA’s underwriting databases on an ongoing basis, as required.
Support additional underwriting-related projects and activities, including:
Managing the facultative case close-out process and perform case reconciliations.
Enabling and disabling manual access for client companies and reviewing user access to underwriting manuals.
Monitoring and reviewing data received from client companies to perform data analysis
Supporting any other projects or activities as required by the Underwriting function.
Education and Experience
Graduate degree in Science or Commerce.
5–10 years of administrative support experience in life reinsurance.
Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office.
Pleasant, responsible, and detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
A collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
