Job SummaryThe EMEA Energy Operations team is seeking a Summer Intern to support the development of a scalable data solution aimed at improving efficiency, transparency, and data integrity across the regional energy data landscape.This role will partner closely with Energy Operations and DIO teams to map data flows, support system design, and help lay the foundations to establishing a single source of truth for energy-related data. The internship will provide hands-on exposure to enterprise data architecture, automation, and business use case development.Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end data flow mapping, documenting how data is sourced, transformed, and consumed across Energy Operations use cases (e.g., budgeting, accruals, dashboards, ETRM planning, Metered Power Reports)
• Act as a key liaison between Energy Ops and DIO, supporting development of the Data Cube as a centralised data solution
• Assist in data integration and automation efforts, consolidating inputs from sources such as supplier portals and invoices
• Perform data validation and documentation, ensuring data accuracy and supporting governance to establish a reliable single source of truth
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support use case development, enabling practical application of the Data Cube across operational workflows
• Contribute to building a scalable and structured data framework to reduce duplication and improve reporting consistency

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Information Management, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
• Strong interest in data architecture, systems design, and data governance
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and structure complex data sets
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to document processes clearly and effectively

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to data tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar
• Understanding of data modelling, databases, or ETL processes
• Experience working on process mapping or systems documentation
• Interest in digital transformation within infrastructure, energy, or operations environments
