About the Role
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering strategic projects that support AIA’s business objectives and customer-centric vision. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget, while adhering to compliance and quality standards. Acting as a key liaison between stakeholders and delivery teams, the Project Manager ensures transparency, risk management, and continuous improvement to maximize business value and enhance customer experience.Responsibilities:
Project Delivery & Governance
· Lead end-to-end project management, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.
· Align project objectives with AIA’s strategic goals and compliance requirements.
· Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting for governance and audit purposes.
Stakeholder Engagement
· Serve as the primary point of contact for business and technical stakeholders.
· Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies clearly and proactively.
· Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with business priorities.
Risk & Issue Management
· Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues promptly.
· Develop contingency plans to minimize impact on delivery and business operations.
Team Leadership & Coaching
· Facilitating Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)
. Remove impediments and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.
· Guide and mentor team members on Agile best practices and project management standards.
· Encourage self-organization and empower teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Quality & Compliance
· Ensure deliverables meet AIA’s quality standards, regulatory requirements, and security policies.
· Drive adherence to governance frameworks and internal audit guidelines.
Continuous Improvement
· Analyze project performance and implement lessons learned for future initiatives.
· Recommend process enhancements to improve efficiency and customer experience.
Requirements:
Education & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Project Management, or related field.
· More than 8 years of experience in project management within financial services, insurance, or technology sectors.
· Proven track record of delivering projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
· Strong leadership and team facilitation abilities.
· Analytical mindset with problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Technical & Professional Skills
· Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and project governance.
· Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence or similar.
· Solid knowledge of risk management, budgeting, and resource planning.
· Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate effectively with developers and architects.
Language and Certificate
· Familiarity with insurance industry processes, compliance, and regulatory standards is an advantage.
· Fluent in English; Cantonese language skill is a plus.
· PMP or Agile certification is a plus
