PERMANENT DAYSHIFT, REMOTE-PHILIPPINES JOB DESCRIPTION: Legal Conveyancer Admin Client : AU Legal firm Fulltime, 40 hours VA RATE : $8 Purpose: The position is responsible for providing a range of timely and accurate administrative support. This position is responsible for preparing legal documents, conducting due diligence, liaising with clients and other parties, and ensuring compliance with property laws and regulation. The role is integral to the success of the business. Qualifications: ● Legal Knowledge: A solid understanding of property law and the conveyancing process is essential in ACT and NSW is a MUST. ● Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail is critical for managing documents and ensuring accuracy in transactions. ● Strong communication and interpersonal skills ● Technical expertise needed in PEXA (good to have) ● Expertise in LEAP conveyancing software is a MUST. ● Organizational Skills: The ability to manage a caseload and work independently while also being a collaborative team member is vital. ● Experience in establishing and maintaining effective administrative systems and processes ● Ability to work autonomously and as a team member ● Good report writing skills ● Background on minute taking Duties and Responsibilities: ● Core responsibilities include: ○ preparing and issuing contracts ○ preparing and updating precedent documents in LEAP ○ overseeing post-exchange requirements (and attending to requisite searches) ● Managing settlements ● Drafting and reviewing ACT lease agreements (commercial leasing), and ACT and NSW residential contracts ● Document Management: Draft, review, and manage all legal documents related to property transactions, including sales contracts, deeds, and mortgages. ● Client & Stakeholder Liaison: Communicate with clients, real estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors or conveyancers to gather information and facilitate the transaction. ● Compliance and Lodgement: Ensure all legal requirements are met and that documents are correctly lodged with the relevant government departments, such as the Land Registry. ● Settlement Management: Oversee the entire settlement process, ensuring all special conditions in the contract are fulfilled before the property title can be officially transferred. ● Admin tasks like email and calendar management ● Data entry ● Legal matter management ● File Management ● Drafting emails and documents ● Chasing settlement letters ● Do legal research on case laws ● Schedule and coordinate staff and other meetings ● Answers emails in a timely manner ● Prepare communications, such as memos, emails, invoices, reports and other correspondence ● Write and edit documents from letters to reports and instructional documents
