What does a typical day look like? These are your main tasks:
• Project Engineering: Provide Project management services for implementation of assigned projects. Lead, define, plan & execute key capital projects in conjunction with site teams and Europe engineering and technical resources. • Process Engineering: Provide process engineering services for all EU sites for implementation of assigned projects.

Project Management
• Own the Capital Plan for the assigned site, managing budget, timeline and resource. • Manage assigned projects throughout the project life cycle to ensure scope, project program, budgetary and HSE requirements are met. • Manage the MOC process • Coordinate the HAZOP process for the assigned projects with site EHS and/or EU Process Safety • Facilitate stage-gate reviews to ensure projects are sufficiently developed before moving to next phase • Obtain financial approval for assigned projects (preliminary IP’s for engineering works, IP’s for fully designed projects) • Compile routine project status reports for project stakeholders. • Developing and owning the Project Management tools and procedures
Process Engineering
▪ Produce conceptual / basic / detailed process engineering design packages. ▪ Manage internal / external discipline engineering resources (civil, mechanical, piping, EC&I) to prepare complete project basic design packages / detailed design packages to a ‘ready for construction’ stage ▪ Prepare cost estimates for new plant and major modifications ▪ Identify, qualify and engage external 3rd party engineering resources to carry out defined project tasks ▪ Through application of process engineering knowledge, Management of Change, Process Hazard Analysis and design reviews ensure project proposals conform to national & company engineering standards ▪ Developing and owning the Process Engineering Calculation tools and procedures ▪ Development of the engineering Database for process, mechanical and structural related data (equipment lists, alarms and interlocks, datasheets, piping lists, physical properties database etc)
The role-holder has jurisdiction to make decisions relating to:
• Selection of preferred process equipment vendors and contractors through bid analysis process. • Peer reviewed Process Safety definitions and specifications • Approval / rejection to progress projects based on output of stage-gate meetings
What is required to be successful in this role? (Education & Experience):
▪ University degree in an Chemical engineering. ▪ Knowledge of applicable EU standards and Directives related to process plant design and operation. Examples include Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU, Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and Seveso Directive ▪ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effective communication with others for whom English is their second language ▪ Experience in a Process or Project Engineering role within the chemical industry or other process industries, with minimum 5 years’ experience. ▪ Knowledge of Aspen process simulation software (desired not essential) ▪ Knowledge of modern Microsoft tools such as SharePoint with strong IT skills to learn new applications ▪ Knowledge of database structures/methodology (or ability to learn) ▪ The application period closes on June 6.
