This posting is for one unionized contractual appointment. A Teaching Assistant is a Graduate Student employed to assist the Course Supervisor as a Teaching Assistant in a classroom environment. Teaching Assistant Positions are governed by the Collective Agreement between McGill University and the Association of Graduate Students Employed at McGill (AGSEM).

Position Summary:
This requisition is for one position, at 50 hours, in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology. Effective dates of appointment are August 30 to December 19, 2026. Course dates August 31 to December 4, 2026. 

Posting Dates (14 days): May 15 to June 1, 2026

Responsibilities may include:

• Marking

• Preparing class materials

• Leading discussion group

• Assisting students' learning

• Attending lectures is required (Fridays from 11:35AM to 2:25PM)

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. Student (Counselling Psychology Program or School/Applied Child Psychology Program)

• Advanced understanding of assessment and testing materials

• Must have completed EDPC 683 or equivalent

• Knowledge of French may be required
