As a SAP consulting generalist at PwC, you will focus on providing consulting services across various SAP applications to clients, analysing their needs, implementing software solutions, and offering training and support for effective utilisation of SAP applications. Job Description & Summary: As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to: 

 

Responsibilities: 

✅ 1. Business Requirement Gathering 

• Work with business stakeholders to understand master data requirements 

• Conduct workshops to define data governance processes 

• Translate business needs into functional specifications 

 

✅ 2. MDG Solution Design 

• Design SAP MDG data models for:  

• Customer (MDG-C) 

• Supplier/Vendor (MDG-S) 

• Material (MDG-M) 

• Financial objects (MDG-F) 

• Define governance processes such as:  

• Create/Change workflows 

• Approval mechanisms 

• Configure data validation rules, derivations, and BRF+ logic 

 

✅ 3. Configuration & Customization 

• Configure MDG components including:  

• Data Model (Entities, Attributes) 

• Change Request Types 

• UI configurations (FPM / UI5, if applicable) 

• Work with ABAP team for enhancements and custom developments 

• Setup workflows using SAP Business Workflow 

 

✅ 4. Data Governance & Quality Management 

• Define and implement data governance policies 

• Ensure data quality using validation, standardization, and enrichment 

• Monitor and improve master data quality KPIs 

 

✅ 5. Integration & Data Replication 

• Configure data replication via:  

• DRF (Data Replication Framework) 

• SOA services / IDocs 

• Integrate MDG with:  

• SAP S/4HANA / ECC 

• External systems (CRM, SRM, third-party apps) 

 

✅ 6. Testing & Deployment 

• Prepare test cases and support:  

• Unit Testing 

• Integration Testing 

• UAT (User Acceptance Testing) 

• Assist in system deployment and go-live support 

 

✅ 7. Support & Maintenance 

• Provide post-go-live support and issue resolution 

• Troubleshoot MDG workflows and data inconsistencies 

• Perform system enhancements and upgrades 

 

✅ 8. Documentation & Training 

• Create functional design documents (FSD) 

• Maintain governance playbooks and SOPs 

• Train business users and data stewards
