The Service & Team
Cornwall Council’s Property & Asset Service as part of ERA (Economy, Regeneration & Assets) is responsible for the strategic, operational, and commercial management of the Council’s extensive land and property portfolio. The Compliance Team provides leadership in ensuring a safe and compliant estate in line with statutory, regulatory, and contractual requirements through the FM Contract and Corporate Landlord Assurance approach
The Role
Assist in the delivery of Property Inspections and Audit across the councils diverse Estate.
Monitor, Review and Assist in the completion of Property Related Risk Assessments.
To advise and manage a range of compliance functions which relate to the management of assets owned or occupied by the Council, including duties under the Equalities Act 2010, Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and elements of Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and other relevant legislation.
Working Pattern
This is a permanent role - 37 hours a week
What you’ll need to succeed
We are looking for a Property professional with experience in delivering high quality compliance work, including the proven experience of delivering Property Inspection and Audits.
Sound knowledge of property related legislation and standards is a key requirement of the role along with a strong understanding of the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
You'll need to be a strong communicator able to deal with a wide variety of colleagues.
