In this role, In this role, you will partner closely with plant In this role, you will partner closely with plant operations and management teams to drive financial performance through accurate reporting, budgeting, cost analysis, compliance, and strategic financial insights, while supporting operational decision‐making and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and group policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in finalizing the monthly financials, overseeing the posting of entries into the General Ledger, ensuring the plant financials are prepared in a timely and accurate manner whilst ensuring such reports meet set accounting standards, policies and procedures and conduct relevant checks with the Manager.
Prepare month‑beginning financial projections, including timely full‑year forecasts, as assigned by management.
Prepare best‑estimate overhead cost analyses at month‑end in accordance with stipulated timelines required.
Monitor and analysis capex expenditure and provide relevant information to the management on return on investment and ensuring all capex expenditure is incurred as per the group accounting policies and procedures.
Preparation of the unit annual budget and long range plan as per the SBU guideline, whilst tracking and monitoring the budget on the monthly basis and highlighting key areas for the SBU Management along with Facilitating the weekly/monthly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reviews for the relevant plants/Units.
Business partnering with the management of the division to manage overhead within the budget and to provide financial input in making key operational decisions.
Provide accurate information for internal/external auditors whilst assisting in the formulation of rectification strategies to address all gaps identified by audits and ensuring implementation of same.
Conduct monthly finance review meeting with the management team of the respective unis whilst facilitate in identifying initiatives to manage over heads, capex in order stay within the budget and implementation of risk mitigation action plans ensuring departments overheads/profitability forecast are prepared on time and driving the achievement of set targets.
Frequent visit to manufacturing plants and hands on with operational processes.
Support company taxation matters as assigned by management.
Check and approve payments in line with budgetory controls and guiding teams towards submitting relevant documents in order to meet compliance and statutory requirements whilst ensuring the payments related to the plant petty cash is managed as per the mandated SOPs and conducting monthly audits to mitigate the risks associated with cash management.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
2–3 years of relevant work experience in a similar capacity, with prior exposure to statutory audits
Part qualification in a recognized professional body (CA / CIMA / ACCA)
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
Excellent communication and analytical skills
