About the Role
Support the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality pharmacy services across different areas of the pharmacy and be part of a collaborative team committed to delivering excellent patient-centred care.
Contribute to the dispensing, distribution and supply of medications under the supervision of a pharmacist, working collaboratively with pharmacists, technicians and pharmacy stores to ensure timely access to medicines for patients across the hospital.
Participate in a broad range of pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing and pre-packing, stock and imprest management, medication distribution to clinical areas, and maintenance of dispensary workflows and systems.
Support safe medication management through activities such as expiry monitoring, cold chain compliance, stock control and participation in stocktake processes.
Provide professional customer service to patients and staff, respond to medication-related enquiries within scope, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives that support safe and effective patient care.
About You:
Hands on experience as a Pharmacy Assistant/Technician in Hospital or Community Pharmacy Dispensary, with experience using Pharmacy computer systems.
Demonstrated competence in legislative requirements relating to pharmaceuticals.
Proven punctuality and reliability; able to work independently or in teams under pressure, with availability for weekend shifts as rostered.
Demonstrated organisational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
