Responsible for scheduling resources to outpatient primary care or specialty offices. Accurately documents in the medical record and scheduling system. Schedules appointments across the Medical Group and follows up on referrals to ensure continuum of care. Works collaboratively with nursing coordinator to coordinate care. Serves all of SJH Medical Group.
Work requires the basic knowledge of theories, principles, & concepts acquired through the completion of an Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or 2 years of healthcare experience. Requires proficiency with highly technical clerical tasks, which are specific to an area of work at the expert level. Experience with an EMR preferred. Experience working in a provider’s office preferred.
