Monday through Friday 9:30pm - 230am
Position Overview
The Hub/Dock Associate is responsible for the efficient and accurate movement of freight between Aesop locations. This role supports nightly hub operations by loading, unloading, sorting, scanning, and staging parts for transport. Success in this role requires a strong focus on accuracy, safe handling of freight, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment where meeting linehaul deadlines is critical.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Freight Handling & Hub Operations
- Load and unload trucks using both manual handling and equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Sort and organize freight by destination site to ensure accurate routing.
- Stage outbound shipments in designated dock areas for timely departure.
- Transfer freight efficiently between inbound and outbound routes (cross-docking between locations).
- Meet nightly hub deadlines to ensure on-time linehaul departures.
2. Accuracy & Inventory Control
- Scan parts into and out of the system using handheld devices (EZ Runner).
- Verify freight is routed to the correct destination site.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy in sorting, scanning, and staging operations.
- Immediately report discrepancies, missing items, or misrouted freight.
3. Quality & Damage Prevention
- Handle all freight with care to prevent damage during loading, unloading, and staging.
- Inspect freight for visible damage and report issues to the supervisor.
- Ensure only properly handled and undamaged parts are shipped between locations.
4. Safety
- Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and in accordance with company policies.
- Use dock plates and material handling equipment properly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free dock area.
- Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or equipment issues immediately.
5. Perform Other Duties as Assigned
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- One year of experience in warehouse or logistics environments, including understanding inventory management and operating material handling equipment, preferred.
- Forklift Certificate preferred.
- Automotive experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required with a commitment to act with an elevated level of professionalism during all transactions both internally and externally.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Must be able to work effectively alone or with others in a team environment.
- Must be able to work collaboratively across functions. Share expertise with others.
- Must be a self-starter with the demonstrated ability to meet timelines and schedules related to essential functions described above.
- Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

- Must be able to ambulate throughout the facility for most of the workday.
- May work outdoors exposed to changing weather conditions (rain, sun, snow, wind, etc.) for varying amounts of time.
- Must be able to operate equipment in a workstation.
- Work in an area equipped with forklifts, chain hoists, and other tools as needed.
- Ability to use both hands regularly with enough dexterity to operate basic hand and power tools safely.
- Ability to lift, move, and carry objects and materials up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
- Expected work hours are based on role and location.
- Ability to work occasional overtime as needed as determined by the employee’s supervisor.
